Prophecy

Prophecy is not simply foretelling the future, but speaking out, addressing the issues of the day without fear or favour.

It is essential that prophets should take up this duty in an age when the world seems to be going down the wrong track and heading for possible disaster. The most unlikely people can be chosen to become prophets.

Sometimes their role can be onerous, and not all prophets down the years have been comfortable with their task. But speak out they must, whatever the consequences.

We can dismiss prophecy as belonging to the lunatic fringe, but actually, in the hands of the right people, it is quite scientific. Like a correct theory in science, it is proved only by the subsequent facts.
