The visitation of the divine on Earth

A European is contemplating his life and the world around him when he experiences a visitation by a lady strangely dressed in medieval clothes.

She invites him to accompany her on a pilgrimage across the modern world, which he reluctantly accepts. This soon becomes a confrontation with the individuals and institutions of contemporary life.

He disagrees forcibly with her views but as he does so he begins to realise she is expressing undeniable truths, and that he is falling in love with her.

What happens?
